Tom Taps – AAC Board (the “app”) is a communication tool for children and non-speaking individuals. We designed it to be private by default. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with information.
The app does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information. There are no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. You do not need to create an account to use Tom Taps.
The vocabulary, boards, custom cards, photos, and recordings you create are stored on your device. If you enable iCloud sync (a Tom Taps Pro feature), that content is synced through your own private Apple iCloud account and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We never receive it.
The optional AI Coach analyses your child's communication activity to offer coaching suggestions. This analysis runs entirely on your device. No communication logs, suggestions, or usage data are sent to us or to any third party. You can turn the AI Coach off at any time, which clears its stored data.
Because the app collects no personal information and requires no account, it is safe for use by and with children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
Purchases (Tom Taps Pro and vocabulary packs) are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not see or store your payment details.
