What we collect

To use the app, we need your personal information which include your name and email address. By “you”, we are referring to a parent, a guardian, an educator, or a person of legal age who downloads Tom Taps as a complementary communication tool for individuals with special needs.

We fully understand your need to customize on Tom Taps. Inside the app, you can upload your own image, take photos, and record and listen to your voice. These data are stored in your device and only you have access to them. We back them up though to your iCloud, but we don’t have access to them.

Tom Taps also allows you to save your favorite sentences or phrases. To better understand you, we also use analytics to capture information about your most frequently used cards.

Your device information such as OS version, model, and ID are also collected.

How we use your information

Tom Taps may collect your information for the following purposes:

-improve our app
-understand you more
-update you on new developments

We do not sell, trade, or disclose any of your information to third parties, we assure you of that. On top of this, we are dedicated in adopting appropriate safety measures to ensure your information are protected from unauthorized access, alteration, and disclosure.

How you can access, update, or delete your information

You have complete control over your data. At any time, you can access, update, and even delete your information from the app.

To do this, please enable Guardian Mode from the app’s icon menu at the upper-right of the screen. From here, you can see access and edit your account information which includes your name, email address, and password.

To delete your personal information from our database, you may email us your request and we’ll be glad to assist you.

What happens if we update our Private Policy

We may amend our Privacy Policy from time to time. To receive updates from us, we encourage you to use a valid email address when registering on the app. You can also visit our website to view our updated Privacy Policy.
